    Reblogged this on Truth2Freedom's Blog.

  2. I guess the fact that Christ Himself tells us to put our swords away doesn’t matter to Voddie Baucham…
Following Christ’s examples with His disciples must not be that important, right?
    Matthew 26:52
Aw well, blessings on your journey!

    • Ronnie Eriksson says:

Am I missing something? Sword = the Word, the scripture ? No ? Yes ?

    • Ephesians 6:16-18a (ESV) 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

Hebrews 4:11-13 (ESV) 11 Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

    • Yeshua's Disciple says:

He’s not talking about a phyical sword. Yeshua never commanded that we abandon the Word. We should ALWAYS rely on it. I’m never putting down my “sword”. Speak for yourself!

  3. SLIMJIM says:

Good illustration for those who say there’s no place for the Word of God in apologetics.
