Brother Todd. I think you have gone way over the line with this one. If you really believe the things you just said, then you have condemned yourself and most other Christians today. You told us that we are anathema if we do not believe that “Scripture is the inerrant, infallible and inspired word of God” and yet neither you nor most of those listening to you or men who have led you astray in this matter like James White REALLY believes that The Bible IS the inerrant, inspired and inerrant word of God.

Can you show us a copy of this complete and inerrant Scripture you call the inerrant word of God?

Not gonna happen, is it? Your default, pratfall position is an Invisible, Imaginary, Let’s Pretend it Exists, Fantasy called “the originals”. Hint – THERE ARE NO ORIGINALS.

And instead you are now promoting the whore’s “bible” versions like the ESV, NIV, NASB, NET, Holman or even the corrupt NKJVs, that not one of you guys really believes are “the inerrant, infallible, inspired word of God”.

You have condemned yourself by this artificial and man made “requirement” of belief in an inerrant Bible, because you do NOT believe it yourself.

See my article Stop Lying About It!

Are any of you going to respond to this, or just ignore it and dodge the question like James White does?

“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” Luke 8:8

  3. Arigato says:

Really? Did the thief on the cross understand the doctrine of the Holy Trinity, and did he receive that understanding from scripture? No. Yet, Jesus Himself told him that he would be with Him in paradise. Furthermore, according to this video, then not one person in the entire O.T. went to heaven (including Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. And while we’re at it, just to emphasize the point, let’s throw in: Noah, Moses, David, Isaiah, Joshua, Lot, Jeremiah, Daniel, Job, Samuel – NO ONE!) because the Holy Ghost was not yet revealed, that didn’t take place until the day of Pentecost. So how could they have had a perfect understanding of the Trinity? In the O.T. the spirit of the LORD would come down and rest upon a person, but it wasn’t The Comforter, the third person in the trinity, as we know Him since the N.T. – The Holy Ghost doesn’t rest upon us, but dwells WITHIN us believers. So you see according to your “other gospel” (which is not another, because there’s only ONE, which is: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved Acts 16:31), but this video logics that not even Abraham is in heaven. And furthermore, it shouldn’t need to be pointed out, but I think I’d better – have you even noticed how you’ve totally contradicted yourself? You said, “understand that it’s faith alone in Christ alone” … Well if it’s faith ALONE then why are you ADDING and must perfectly understand the Trinity, and you’re adding that a person must get that understanding from Scripture only. It has to be pointed out that this is a blatant contradiction, it can’t be BOTH. It’s either faith alone (alone means ALONE), and that’s it, but if it’s faith alone then it can’t be faith alone + anything else. Which is exactly what you’re propagating, THIS IS A FALSE GOSPEL! It is correct that salvation comes from faith alone in Christ alone, and that goes same in both the O.T and the N.T. Example from the OT: Abraham “believed in the LORD and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Gen 15:6 -saved by faith alone.
And in the NT the previously mentioned thief on the cross. Luke 23:43.
Please note that Faith Alone + works, or bible reading, or going to church, or quit smoking, or quit drinking, or stop doing this, or start doing that, or faith alone + ANYTHING is no longer faith alone. Do you see that? Salvation relies on ONE thing: BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ. Receive His gift of eternal salvation, through a submissive believing heart in prayer, by admitting you’re a sinner and calling upon the name of the Lord and trusting in Him alone to save you, and THAT’s IT! God made salvation SO simple that some times people just completely miss it, but the beauty and power of its simplicity is how easy it is to spot “another gospel.” On the downside, it’s so simple that it gets corrupted so often by men ADDING to it. People think that it can’t be that easy to be saved, and they want to work for it. But just remember the thief on the cross – he got SAVED, and all he had to do was believe on Jesus then asked Him to save him – that’s it!

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
    Gal 1:6-9
I sincerely hope and recommend that you get straight on your doctrine before being so quick to label people anathema.

  4. willjkinney says:

If a person teaches that only those who believe the King James Bible is the true and inerrant words of God are saved, then they really are a Cult. Thankfully there are very few King James Bible believers who think that way. The gospel is that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose the third day from the dead. “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God” 1 John 5:1.

The gospel is “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9. It is not “Plus believe that the King James Bible, or any bible is the inerrant words of God, and thou shalt be saved.”

If a person thinks that all those who are not King James Bible believers are lost and headed for hell, then they deserve to be called a weird Cult because that is what they have become.

Todd Friel is not a King James Bible onlyist by any stretch of the imagination; nor are most Christians today. Most Christians do not really believe that any bible in any language is the complete and inerrant words of God. Just ask them. But they DO believe the gospel that is found in any and all versions out there, no matter how corrupt they may be in many other ways.

God will lose none of His own, no matter what bible version they may be using. “As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.” John 17:2

  5. Steve says:

Jesus said “No one comes to the Father but by me.” Jesus Christ is the sole arbiter of that which is necessary for our salvation. We should take great care in userping the role of Judge from the one who rightfully holds it.

  6. willjkinney says:

It’s not so much that Todd Friel is anti-KJB, but he had James White on his program promoting the Vatican Versions like the ESV, NASB, NET, NIV. I think Todd now uses the ESV. But he says very clearly at the beginning of his video that one of the things a Christian must believe in order to be saved and not be anathema, is that he has to believe the Bible IS the inspired, inerrant and infallible words of God. That is what he was saying.

I was merely pointing out that Mr. Friel, and James White as well, does NOT believe that ANY Bible in ANY language IS the inerrant words of God. He doesn’t. Neither of these men could show you a copy of this inerrant words of God Scriptures they claim to believe in if their lives depended on it.

For proof that versions like the ESV, NIV, NASB, NET etc. are the new Vatican Versions that NOBODY seriously believes are the inerrant words of God, see my article –

Undeniable Proof the ESV, NIV, NASB, Holman Standard, NET etc. are the new “Vatican Versions”

So I was pointing out that in effect, Mr. Friel is condemning himself by his own standards. And, by the way, I do NOT believe that a person has to believe there really IS an inerrant Bible in order to get saved. Todd is adding a requirement for salvation that is not found in the Bible and that he himself does not meet. THAT was my whole point.

I hope this helps clarify what I was getting at.

    God bless.

  7. Carol says:

The enemy has succeed once more in dividing the people of God…the Bible does teach that it is the “INSPIRED WORD OF GOD” and useful to teach, train and correct and rebuke. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17…this brother is not teaching another gospel as noted here by the many posts…what he is out is

the ignorance of the people of God who don’t not have a clue what the Bible says: believing in the Trinity is not a condition of salvation true, but one must also have a good solid understanding of the Scriptures in order to preach and teach when there is error. I heard no error in what he said…
The problem with many of us so called believers is that we have too much knowledge and not enough humbleness … 1 Corinthians 8: 1… knowledge puffs up, but love builds up..
