The Biggest Question – Why?

Uh, I think logic usually overrides fear when choosing to use a parachute.
If God is loving, love should be our guide, not fear. If fear is our guide, that is an acceptance that God is a real jerk.
Fear and love are diametrically opposed to one another. Fear is not “your friend” – trying to equate fear with discernment and common sense (putting a parachute on before jumping out of a plane) is absolutely ridiculous. You can either choose to live from a place of love (in the light) or from a place of fear (in the darkness). So many religious people, like this man, seem to be a perfect example of fear-based living. Which is ironic since they’re so obsessed with claiming they’ve found “the light” when what they’re actually embodying is the deluded darkness of fear. Sad.
