He is telling the truth! I have witnessed this more times than I would like to count. Sunday school teachers and pew sitters alike, all who have been going to the same church for 30,40 years. I just shake my head and say Lord help us.

I do not disagree with Voddie but wonder why this isn’t approached from the perspective that shows how this applies equally to women. As a woman who has been a Christian for 51 years, I am equally as horrified at women my age who’re painfully ignorant of the Word and its application. And then there is another aspect that contributes to this…way too many millennials seek mentoring from celebrity peers who glory in their skepticism and even ignorance, as if there is virtue in doubt and humility in ignorance. It is so rare to find the combination of those who’re teachable and those who have applied themselves to understanding God’s Word!
