  1. Mikel Writes says:

Also, Jacob (Israel) didn’t he (by his wife suggestion) go in unto one of his maidservants for a child?? I’m curious to know – is that also an example of the topic you’re talking about?

    • Regina Bailes says:

In all of the biblicl examples of surrogacy, the baby was conceived with another woman’s egg; in modern days we are able to take the father’s sperm and the mother’s egg, fertilize it in-vitro and then place it in another woman’s womb. Its a different case.

  2. Regina Bailes says:

Some people say that if a wife cannot keep a baby until full grown in her womb, then maybe this may be God’s will for her not to have a child; however, the same people say that adoption is OK. How do we separate both issues? If a husband and wife provide the fertilized egg for someone to carry, why it may be wrong? Both biological parents are provided that child’s genes and DNA, the surrogate is only providing a place for it to grow. I think that it becomes immoral when the surrogate mother is being paid to do that. If someone very close to me and dear to my heart needed a surrogate mother, I think I would do it. Being able to bless someone with a child of their own would be a blessing to me as well.

  3. Lorraine says:

If I could carry a child for someone close to me that was unable to carry one themselves, I’d definitely do it.
