Hey, Todd, this is satire. I’ve seen other videos by this guy. Once he claimed to be from Obama’s citizen patrol, and he was trying to get people of film allowing him to perform illegal searches of their backpacks. This is satire, and the petitions are not real. Check your sources.

    • jrreuter says:

Uh, yeah Greg, everyone knows that. Anyone can see he’s not seriously petitioning for this (at numerous times in the video when he breaks character), rather the idea is to show a disturbing trend in American society.

  2. Lance says:

Gred Todd knows who Mike dice is, the point of this “satire” is to show just how many people rather vocal or not, are against Christian being public about their faith.

    • Greg says:

But all he’s showing is the idiots who signed it……i bet he had way more people who said no and stood up for the 1st amendment.

    • Greg says:

Further, nowhere did Todd clarify that the whole thing was fake….dont you think that he should at least have done that for the benefit of those who aren’t aware of it?

  3. Michael says:

Most of these people don’t seem to be against it at all, but rather thoughtless and ignorant. The footage does not show this man’s approach and what he says to the people before they begin signing. That’s questionable to me. Regardless, this video is a sad, but sobering showcase of american citizen ignorance.

  4. Josh Marquez says:

I love this guys, meaning Todd and Mike, but very said i mean people can;t think any more, if it is agains Christians just sign it !! …. Lets Behead all Christians…… sure why not??

  6. James Redmond says:

Let’s assume it was a satire, a joke whatever. The concern was that the people were willingly signing the “pettetion”, they assumed was real, to take away the first amendment rights of someone. That should bother you!

    • Matt Dean says:

And I’ll bet it’d be even easier to get signatures for such a petition here in England.

Just look at what happened to Tony Miano earlier this month.

The average citizen here in the UK would be only too happy outlaw outward expressions of faith in Christ. I guarantee it. Sad.

Reblogged this on Witness To The Lost and commented:
Wow. As far as I know this Mark Dice guy is a Christian and he sometimes goes to the street to engage in “experiments” with people. This experiment was “ban Christian symbols from being displayed in public even on person property” – Are we headed for persecution sooner than we think?

  8. Steve Cranton says:

I don’t think I could say “hail Satan” even for the purpose of satire or to prove a point. It sounds like a blasphemous thing to say.

    • Michael A. Coughlin says:

You know, Steve. I’m sensitive to that, too. But when I enjoy movies like Courageous and Fireproof which must include men depicting their ungodly lives at times for dramatic effect, I like to think of this guy as a well-meaning actor for this skit.

  9. Jamie says:

this is funny and sad too, Look at his shirt. people don’t even realize what he’s wearing, or what their doing. This guy is funny. Just goes to show you If you take God out of the equation, your left without him, and usually destruction follows a nation.

  11. Todd Porter says:

What bothers me is that essentially you, Todd Friel, are propagating a lie for the sake of fear mongering Christians. This has gone on far too long in the church and it is, quite honestly, very bothersome to me as a Christ follower and as a pastor. We should be more about spreading grace, truth and love and less about spreading fear.

There is no way that this petition could actually ever collect enough signatures to take away first amendment rights. What you have here is a collection of people who are saying and doing stupid things because they are essentially ignorant. Mark Dice illustrates the ignorance of people much like Jay Leno does with his “Jay Walking”.

In my opinion, he also showcases your own ignorance by the fact that you are passing this off as fact. I think that you should take this post down and remove the video. Yes, you have the right to freedom of speech but as a Christ follower you also have a higher calling to follow truth and this clearly is not truth.

  12. After over a week, I am still laughing. I have to confess, I initially thought this was serious until somewhere halfway through the video. Still, a sad statement on the folks signing the “petition.”
